Walk along the top until you are where you want to be (← → on the picture, the arrow keys, or A and D). The darker, smoother stripes down the steps are the worn ways; a body runs further along them.
Curl: press and hold on the picture, or hold the space bar. The longer you hold, the harder you will go. Your quills stand, and the line ahead of you grows.
While you hold, lean left or right (drag, or the arrows) to choose your line.
Let go. You mean to come to rest on the last step, among the ones sitting there, and not against any of them.
Your colour will tell you before you stop: gold going to turquoise, the last step; hot coral, too far or into someone; grey-blue, short. You cannot help it.
